Welcome, and thank you for visiting the Mount Pleasant Art Society (MPAS) website. We are a non-profit organization dedicated to the enhancement of visual arts. OUR MISSION
The mission of the Mount Pleasant Art Society is to cultivate a vibrant artistic community that fosters creativity, collaboration, and appreciation for the arts. We aim to provide inclusive opportunities for artists of all skill levels to learn, share, and showcase their work, enriching the cultural landscape of our community. Through workshops, exhibitions, and outreach programs, we strive to inspire a deeper understanding of art and its transformative power in our lives.
OUR SERVICES
Workshops
We offer all types of workshops ranging from; Oil, Water Colors, Acrylic, Graphite Pencil.
Art Shows
We have a membership Art Show that we put on in March.
Titus County Fair
We put on the fine art exhibit at the fair by hanging art, placing ribbons and procuring art kits and staffing the exhibition room.
Art Professional Demonstrations
We provide monthly demonstrations of the latest techniques by professional Artists.
Classes
We offer a variety of classes such as; colored pencils, oil paintings, beginning drawing classes.
Art for Sale
We sell all different types of art from local artists.

Color Pencil & Oil Painting Class - Mondays
From 10am - 1pm, Instructor: Linda Lucas Hardy
Cost: $25
Oil Paint Day - Tuesdays
This group meets at 9am-3pm, all are welcome, no instruction artists just paint.
Water Colorist Day - Fridays
This group of artists meet 10am-2pm, all are welcome, no instructions, artists just paint.
Monthly Meetings -
1st Sunday
The 1st Sunday of every month from September to May, we meet to discuss society business as well as an Art Demonstration.
